Description:

 

The Registered Nurse at Safehaus will be a licensed Nurse in the State of Michigan, who possesses at a minimum (1) year of documented experience with Children services either at the in-patient or residential level.  The Safehaus Registered Nurse shall be responsible for the overall medical supervision of the staff as it relates to conducting on-site reviews, training staff in basic medical/ first aid procedures, and conduction in-services with staff in updating their medical skills on a quarterly basis.

 

The Safehaus Registered Nurse will have the following duties:

 

1. Visit Safehaus at a minimum (5) times per week.

2. Oversee that all MAR’s and Narcotic sheets are being filled out accurately.

3. Oversee the training and certification of our Youth Specialist with a Medical Coordinator Classification.

4. Oversee that the medication dispensing policies and procedures are being met.

5. Be available for emergency situations both physically and via telephone.

6. Be aware of and meet all guidelines outlined by the State, for Crisis Residential Nursing Services.

7. Conduct on-site medical evaluations on resident who require medical attention.

8. Maintain adequate amount of in-house medications needed by residents.

9. Maintain contact with Advance Pharmacy regarding medications and supplies.

 

All Registered Nurse duties listed above can be modified from time to time, and as needed.
